Pine Township Supervisors Meeting
January 3rd, 2011
The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:15 p.m. at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Keith Muir and Ryan Shultz were present Chris Cameron was absent. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

There were no Guest Speakers.
There were no Citizens Comments. 

The Board approved the minutes of the December meeting.  A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Shultz, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board.  A motion to accept the reports was made by Mr. Shultz, seconded by Mr. Muir.  Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed.  Mr. Shultz moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $10,709.48.
General Fund $6,511.81; State Fund $4,197.67.  Mr. Muir seconded.  Motion carried.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Keith Muir, seconded by Ryan Shultz.  Motion carried.

Unfinished Business consisted of two motions.  The first was a motion to send the property maintence ordinance to the solicitor, with a change.  The way it was, the supervisors served as enforcement officers and the appeal board. Now in case of an appeal the township will ask either the Indiana County Solid Waste Authority or the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development for their opinion of the premises and act on their advice.  Mr. Shultz moved to send Property Maintence Ordinance to the Solicitor, Mr. Muir seconded the motion.  Motion carried.  The second order of business was a motion to order a truck from US Municipal Supply.  Pine Township was given a quote of $71,828.  Mr. Shultz motion to order the truck, Mr. Muir seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

There was no New Business. 

Two Announcements were made. The first was a request by the Supervisors to go to their website and give your opinion on the use of biosolids on fields in the township www.pinetownshipindianacounty.com Mr. Shultz also announced the meeting with PSP concerning a neighborhood watch program is set for March 9th, 7:00 PM at the Municipal Building.

Mr. Shultz then moved to Adjourn the January Meeting.  Keith Muir seconded the motion.  Motion carried.  The January Regular Meeting was adjourned at 7:31.
