The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

There were no Guest Speakers.

There were several residents wanting to Comment, Mr. Shultz ask them if they would wait till the end of the meeting. They agreed; the meeting continued.

The Board approved the Minutes of the March 2019 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $26,458.25; General Funds $26,458.25, State Funds $0. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved accept the report. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.

The Supervisors Discussed truck repairs, brooming the streets and the need for no parking signs on Pine Street

Under Unfinished Business the Pine Township Volunteer Fire Company Ordnance was discussed. This would give the fire company the right to bill for services rendered at accident scenes. Mr. Shultz made a motion to send the Ordnance to the Solicitor. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement.

Under New Business Mr. Muir moved to purchase no parking signs for Pine Street. Mr. Shultz seconded. Motion carried.

Under Residents’ Comments there were numerous complaints concerning abandon houses in Heilwood. There were also complaints lodged against some homes with occupants, that either don’t have trash pickup or don’t care to clean up their yards. The residents were all given complaint forms to fill out. The Supervisors will address the complaints next meeting.
Also, under residents’ comments, there were members and leaders of a Girl Scout Troop forming in the area. They wanted to let the Supervisors know they would be willing to help with keeping the park clean and any other age appropriate community service that was needed. The Supervisors thanked them for their service to the community.


The Supervisors Announced Spring Clean UP will be May 4th, 5th and 6th 7AM till 7PM.

Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the Meeting. Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried.  The April Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 PM.
