The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

There were no Guest Speakers.

The Board approved the Minutes of the July 2019 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $ 6,163.73; General Funds $5,214.49, State Funds $949.24.

The July 2019 Balances being General Fund $227,152.16 and State Fund $266,988.97. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved accept the report. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.

The Supervisors Discussed which roads were to be tarred and chipped and the cost of Spring Clean Up which was $1,542 minus the metal recycling $312, final amount was $1,230.

The Unfinished Business consisted of a request for comments concerning proposed ordinance 50, regarding the Pine Township Fire Company. There were no comments. Mr. Cameron then moved to advertise with action being taken at the August meeting. Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The inspection reports from Indiana County Planning and Development were received by the Township. These were requested by the township on houses in need of maintenance. After reading the inspections Mr. Shultz moved to send a letter to each home owner along with a copy of the report giving them 90 days to correct any unsafe issues. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement.

There was no New Business.

There were Public Comments once again concerning the many houses in need of maintenance.

The Supervisors Announced the Pine Township Park playground equipment will be going in during July.


Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the Meeting. Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried.  The July Meeting was adjourned at 7:23 PM.
