PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
April 2021


The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

Guest Speaker was Don Stitler. He was concerned about the condition of Laurel Run Road. Mr. Shultz told him it was on the list for repair and resurfacing. 

The Board approved the Minutes of the March1st meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $2,817.90
General Funds $2,817.90, State Funds $0. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $280,001.04 and State Fund $385,489.75.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

The Supervisors Discussed the resurfacing of some township roads.

There was no Unfinished Business 

The first order of New Business consisted of a motion to advertise for 1,500 ton of #8 limestone, 40,000 gallons of E-3 and 15,000 gallons of MC-70. Mr. Shultz made the motion, Mr. Muir seconded. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement.

Mr. Muir motioned to hold Spring Clean Up on May 14,15, 16. Mr. Shultz seconded. Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement. 

The last order of business was a request for naming of a private lane. The lane is located off 
403 N and has one home and non-residential farm buildings. Pine Township Ord 31 states a named private roadway are roadways not maintained by Pine Township or the State and which have two or more inhabitable structures located on it. For that reason, Mr. Shultz motioned to not name road but to use a 403 N address. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion passed with all Supervisors in agreement. 


There were not any Public Comments. 

Announcements where dates for Spring Clean Up, May 14, 15, 16. 7AM to & PM.
  Also Pine Township received Liquid Fuels Funds for 2021 in the amount of $119,127.69.

Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the April Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The April’s Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
