The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.
There were two Guest Speakers. Ernie Westover, Alverda resident and Don Rosen from Blacklick Ambulance.
The Board approved the Minutes of the July 2021 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $5,232.96
General Funds $1,146.31, State Funds $4,086.65. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $325,229.78 and State Fund $ 353,120.14.
The Police Report was reviewed A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.
The Supervisors Discussed the up coming road resurfacing. They also discussed the need to start looking for new truck to replace the 2005 International.
There was no Unfinished Business
New Business consisted of a motion to table the decision to donate the ARPA grant the township received to Indiana County. Mr. Cameron called for the motion. He said he was going to look into the broadband expansion, making sure it benefited Pine Township. Mr. Muir seconded. Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement.
There was one Public Comment concerning the drainage in Alverda.
There were no Announcements.
Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the August Meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The August Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
