MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
May 1st, 2023



The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers.

The Board approved the Minutes from the April meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $13,668.74
General Funds $4,168.74, State Funds $9,500.00. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried. The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $ 575,987.59 and State Fund $453,116.54.
 
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. 

The Supervisors Discussed the tractor repairs needed. Mr. Shultz gave an update on the Peterbuilt truck order. They also discussed possibly having Quaker come in around September to mill some problem roads.

The Unfinished Business consisted of opening and awarding bids for stone for road resurfacing. The bid for 500 ton of #8 stone was awarded to Homer Sleek and Sons $32.79/ton. Only bid received. A motion to accept the bid was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried

New Business. Consisted of a motion by Mr. Shultz to review and sign the Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement for the Intersection Conflict Warning Device project at the intersection of 403 and 422. Motion passed with all supervisors in agreement. The Supervisors were also presented with Resolution # 2023-0426. Penndot required a resolution prior to the execution of the Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement that authorized the Chairman of the Board to direct and submit the Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement and submit future modifications. A motion to accept the resolution was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

There were Public Comments. 
Announcements: Clean Up Days – June 9th, June 10th and June 11th from 7 AM – 7 PM

Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the April meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The May meeting was adjourned at 7:29 PM.
