MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
June 5th, 2023


The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. All supervisors were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers.

The Board approved the Minutes from the May meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $13,101.60. General Funds $10,376.33, State Funds $2,725.27. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried. The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $ 653,923.43 and State Fund $452,164.26.
 
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried. 

The Supervisors Discussed tar and chip. They also discussed purchasing an American flag in addition to eventually purchasing a state and township flag.

The Unfinished Business consisted of Mr. Shultz sharing email updates regarding Kinter Station bridge. The engineers are currently working on preparing the bid documents. The bid will need to be advertised when received. A motion to accept was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. The tar and chip dates were set for August 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. No motion was made, should have been under the above supervisor discussion. 

New Business. Although not on the agenda, the supervisors discussed and voted to contact Mr. Shellenbarger, the local scout master, to see if there is a scout in need of an Eagle Scout project to put up 3 poles for the flags discussed. A motion was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion passed. 

There were Public Comments. 
Announcements: Clean Up Days – June 9th, June 10th and June 11th from 7 AM – 7 PM

Mr. Shultz moved to Adjourn the May meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The June meeting was adjourned at 7:11 PM.
