MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
August 7th, 2023

​The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers.

The Board approved the Minutes from the July meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $23,287.22. General Funds $4,897.28, State Funds $18,389.94. Mr. Cameron seconded; motion carried. The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $ 645,340.97 and State Fund $435,307.89.
 
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. 

The Supervisors Discussed fall clean-up. Dates are set for October 6, 7 & 8, 2023 from 7 AM – 5 PM.
Mr. Shultz updated Mr. Muir and Mr. Cameron on the repairs needed on the 2010 International truck. 

The Unfinished Business consisted of an update on the Peterbilt truck order. It is currently scheduled to begin factory production on October 2, 2023. The Board of Supervisors approves the purchasing of a new vehicle. A motion to approve the purchase was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried with all supervisors in agreement.

Mr. Shultz shared an update on the Kinter Station bridge replacement project. The bidding documents are currently online at https://pennbid.net. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 10, 2023 starting at 10 AM here at the Pine Township Municipal Building. 

Update on the flag project: The boy scout that will be taking on the flag pole project is William Thompson from Penn Run. He is currently 16 and has until the age of 18 to complete his Eagle Scout project. The next step for his project is to have paperwork signed by Mr. Shultz. 

There was no New Business

Public Comments: Shirley Fasoli was wanting to know when Heilwood would be tar and chipped. She expressed her concerns again about the alley being blocked again. Pat Freidhof was inquiring as to when he will get drainage ditches.

Announcements: Pine Township Fire Department sub sale this Saturday.

Mr. Shultz moved to Adjourn the August meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The August meeting was adjourned at 7:37 PM. Attendees- See attached list.
