MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
September 11th, 2023


The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers.

The Board approved the Minutes from the August meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $10,539.14. General Funds $10,539.14, State Funds $0. Mr. Cameron seconded; motion carried. The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $ 657,153.07 and State Fund $356,068.44.

The Roadmaster’s Report and was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. 

The Supervisors Discussed Road work being done. The supervisors also discussed holding a community meeting to see if more community members would have an interest in participating in the banner project mentioned in public comments.

The Unfinished Business consisted of reviewing bids for the Kinter Station bridge replacement.

A motion to accept the bid from NorthRock Construction Inc. was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried with all supervisors in agreement.

The New Business consisted of the Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of a 2nd new truck. 
6 trucks are being allocated for 2024. The supervisors approved the purchase to be put on the list.
A motion to approve the purchase in order to be put on the list was made by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried with all supervisors in agreement.

Public Comments: Jim and Greg Davis are having military banners made and asked if the township would put them up. 

Announcements: Fall Clean-up October 6th, 7th, and 8th from 8 AM – 5 PM.

Mr. Shultz moved to Adjourn the August meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The September meeting was adjourned at 7:31 PM. Attendees- See attached list
