MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
                    December 4th, 2023


The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz and Chris Cameron were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers.

The Board approved the Minutes from the November meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $2,667.81. General Funds $2,667.81, State Funds $0. Mr. Shultz seconded; motion carried. The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $ 681,215.88 and State Fund $359,144.90.

The Roadmaster’s Report and was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried. 

The Supervisors Discussed military banners presented at meeting by the Davis brothers.

The Unfinished Business consisted or the passing of Resolution 2023-1242 which establishes the tax rate for 2024. The tax rate will remain 1 mil on real estate and $5 per capita. Mr. Cameron moved to pass the resolution; Mr. Shultz seconded. Motion carried.  
Next Mr. Cameron moved to pass resolution 2023-124 which appropriates specific sums estimated to be required for the purpose of general government in 2024. Mr. Shultz seconded. Resolution passed and 2024 budget was enacted with Supervisors in agreement. The 2024 Budget is set at a total revenue of $1,451,466 and total expenditures at $940,757. The totals reflect all funds. 


New Business consisted of a motion to accept and pass resolution #2023-125 stating the appropriate officers of the Township of Pine are authorized and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of the Township, a certain Master Equipment Lease Purchase Agreement, including Exhibit A- Schedule of Equipment No. 1, dated 10/20/2023; Attachment 1-Equipment Description, and Attachment 2-Payment Schedule. Required for the 2024 Peterbilt plow truck purchase. Mr. Cameron made a motion to adopt the resolution, Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried. 

The second order of new business consisted of a motion to accept and pass Lessee Resolution #2023-126. This identifies The Township of Pine as the lessee on the Master Equipment Lease Purchase Agreement and Exhibit A – schedule of equipment between Community First National Bank, as Lessor and The Township of Pine, as lessee for financing the 2024 plow truck. Mr. Cameron made a motion to adopt the resolution, Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried. 

There were no Public Comments & no Announcements 

Mr. Shultz moved to Adjourn the December meeting. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried. The December meeting was adjourned at 7:28 PM. Attendees- attached.
