MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
February 5th, 2024


The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Chris Cameron, and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance and welcomed all visitors.

There were no Guest Speakers. 

The Board approved the Minutes of the January 2024 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $14,581.14.
General Funds $9,383.18, State Funds $5,197.96. Mr. Cameron seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $662,981.27 and State Fund $349,208.24.

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried. 

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

The Supervisors Discussed the requested the repairs needed on the 2010 International truck, the dirt and gravel grant submitted for Stiles Station Road, chose a date to meet with Clymer Police Department to discuss police coverage for the township, veteran banners, an America250PA grant available for clean up on July 20th and a raise for Joan Stupic, tax collector. 

The Unfinished Business consisted of reviewing the winning bid from the 1984 grader that was listed for sale on Municibid and on our website. The winning bidder was Ernest Kessy $10,500.00. A motion to accept the bid by Ernest Kessy was made by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried with all Supervisors in agreement.

New Business consisted of Resolution #2024-0205. INDIANA COUNTY 2023 HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN. Motion to adopt by Mr. Cameron., seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

There were no Public Comments 

Announcements: Pine Township Fire Dept: Community Day set for July 20th - sub sale this Saturday.

Mr. Muir then moved to Adjourn the February Meeting. Mr. Cameron seconded the motion. Motion carried. The February 2024 meeting was adjourned 7:30 PM.
