MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
May 5, 2025




The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Ryan Shultz, Keith Muir, and Chris Cameron were present. Ryan Shultz called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers 

The Board approved the Minutes of the April 2025 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Muir moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $37,472.75.
General Funds $37,472.75, State Funds $0. Mr. Cameron seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $350,897.10 and State Fund $581,101.38.

The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried. 

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, 
seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried. 

The Supervisors Discussed work to be done on Stiles Station Road. Found out we were approved for a grant for drainage for Stiles Station Road. This work will be done before the reconstruction. 

Unfinished Business consisted of an update for the countywide new emergency services authority. The County Commissioners approved the County Ordinance at their April 9, 2025 meeting allowing for the incorporation of the Ordinance. The Articles of Incorporation will be submitted to the Department of the State for approval. Once approved at the state level, the Authority will begin working on the cost per household. 

The next order of unfinished business consisted of opening bids for the following:
Stone Bid Results for 600 ton of #8 limestone, delivered to different sites in Pine Township. 2 bids received: Homer R. Sleek & Sons Inc.$34.87, Buffalo Limestone Inc. $37.35. Motion to accept low bid from Homer R. Sleek & Sons Inc. at $34.87/ton by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
Oil Bid Results for 30,000 gallons of E-5, delivered and applied. 2 bids received: Midland Asphalt Materials Inc. $2.53/gal, Suit-Kote Corporation $2.4499/gal. Motion to accept low bid from Suit-Kote Corporation at $2.4499/gal by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Shultz. Motion carried.
Bid results for: 6,600 S.Y. Base repairs, in place. Dry Grind/roto-milling of existing roadway;
6,600 S.Y. Asphalt surface treatment, in place; 6,600 S.Y. Double asphalt seal coat, in place. 2 bids received. Quaker Sales Corporation $63,360.; Russell Standard Corporation $79,926. Motion to accept bid from Quaker Sales Corporation for a total of $63,360 by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

There was no New Business and no Public Comments

Announcements: Spring Clean-Up June 6th, 7th and 8th from 7 AM – 7 PM

Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the May meeting. Mr. Shultz seconded the motion. Motion carried. The May meeting was adjourned at 7:19 PM.
