MINUTES
PINE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
March 2, 2026

The Pine Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at 7:00 PM at the Pine Township Municipal Building in Heilwood. Chris Cameron, and Keith Muir were present. Ryan Shultz attended virtually. Chris Cameron called the meeting to order then led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no Guest Speakers 

The Board approved the Minutes of the February 2026 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was called for by Mr. Muir, seconded by Mr. Cameron. Motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Reports and Timesheets were presented to the Board. A motion to accept the reports was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried.

Bills were reviewed. Mr. Cameron moved to pay the bills on the agenda totaling $6,922.70.
General Funds $6,922.70, State Funds $0. Mr. Muir seconded; motion carried.
The Balances after expenditures are General Fund $385,361.56 and State Fund $550,596.81.
 
The Roadmaster’s Report was presented to the Board. A motion to accept the report was called for by Mr. Cameron, seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried. 

The Police Report was reviewed. A motion to accept the report and was called for by Mr. Cameron, 
seconded by Mr. Muir. Motion carried. 
 
Supervisors Discussion: 400.26-ton anti-skid has been purchased for the 2025-2026 winter season. Joan Stupic has requested that Pine Township pay her membership dues of $80 to the PA State Tax Collectors Association. Letter from Jay Carmella regarding the Lori and Brian Fennell Alleyway dispute. The Township has reached out to Solicitor, Wayne Kablack. He stated, since the alleyways have not been maintained by the township for over 20 years, the township does not control or have any say so over the alleyways. 

Unfinished Business consisted of a motion to approve Resolution # 2026-0302 Authorizing and Empowering Berkheimer Tax Administrator, The Duly Appointed Collector of Earned Income Tax for the Indiana County Tax Collection District, to use Confidential Tax Information to Bill for Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”) Fees. Mr. Cameron would like an answer to the following: If quality and cost of service provided by the ICMESA is not as stated, can the Township opt out of the Authority? Mr. Muir motioned to table until the next meeting. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried 

Although not on the agenda, Mr. Muir moved to approve Joan Stupic’s request that Pine Township pay her membership dues of $80 to the PA State Tax Collectors Association. Mr. Cameron seconded. Motion carried.

There was no New Business.

There were no Public Comments. 

There were no Announcements 

Mr. Cameron then moved to Adjourn the March meeting. Mr. Muir seconded the motion. Motion carried. The March meeting was adjourned at 7:26 PM.
