ORDINANCE NUMBER 17

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 14 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PINE AS ENACTED AUGUST 1, 1983, PROVIDING FOR RESTRICTIONS ON THE ELEVATION OF RESIDENTIAL AND NEW OR SUBSTANTIALLY IMPROVED NONRESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES WITHIN ANY IDENTIFIED FLOOD PLAIN AREA.

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Board of Supervisors for the Township of Pine, County of Indiana, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and it is hereby ordained and enacted as follows:

Section 4.00 of Article IV of Ordinance No. 14 of the Township of Pine as enacted August 1, 1983, is hereby amended to add thereto subsections C. and D., said subsections to read as follows:

C.Within any identified flood plain area, the elevation of the lowest floor (including basement) of any residential struc¬ture shall be one and one-half (1-1/2) feet or more above the one hundred (100) year flood elevation.
D.Within any identified flood plain area, the elevation of the lowest floor (including basement) of any new or substantially improved nonresidential structure shall be one and one-half (1-1/2) feet or more above the one hundred (100) year flood elevation or be flood proofed up to that height.

In all other respects, Ordinance No. 14 of the Township of Pine, as enacted August 1, 1983, shall remain as heretofore.
