AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PINE, COUNTY OF INDIAN AND COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON TOWNSHIP ROADS IN THE VILLAGES OF HEILWOOD, ALVERDA AND BROWNSTOWN.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Super¬visors of the Township of Pine, County of Indiana and Common¬wealth of Pennsylvania that it is necessary to establish maximum speed limits on Township roads within the villages of Heilwood, Alverda and Brownstown for motor vehicles and other mechanized equipment of any kind or type in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Township and all others who may use the Township roads and streets located within said villages.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Pine, County of Indiana and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and it is hereby ORDAINED AND ENACTED as follows:
The maximum permissible speed limit for vehicles or other mechanized equipment of any kind or type on Township roads and streets within the villages of Heilwood, Alverda and Brownstown, shall be 20 miles per hour.
Signs shall be appropriately posted within the villages of Heilwood, Alverda and Brownstown indicating the aforesaid maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour.



Any person who shall operate a vehicle or other mech¬anized equipment of any kind or type at a speed in excess of that hereby established therefore, upon any of the portions of the Township roads and streets located within the villages of Heilwood, Alverda and Brownstown, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00), together with costs of prosecution.

This ordinance shall be effective immediately.
